En primer lugar, hemos determinado las caracteristicas generales de la regulacion de la glucolisis en los macrofagos peritoneales de rata. Estas celulas presentan una pfk-2 similar al isoenzima cardiaco y una pfk-1 similar al enzima previamente descrito en otros tejidos. La fru 2,6-p2 esta presente en los macrofagos, actua como activador de la pfk-1 y es un buen indice del flujo glucolitico en estas celulas.  por otra parte, hemos observado que la activacion de los macrofagos produce un incremento en el flujo glucolitico de los macrofagos, medido como liberacion de lactato, niveles de fru 2,6-p2 y como actividad hexoquinasa, pfk-1 y pfk-2. Ademas, hemos observado que tambien la induccion de diabetes experimental produce un incremento en estos parametros glucoliticos. Por el contrario, el tratamiento con clucocorticoides produce una disminucion del flujo glucolitico en los macrofagos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
