Asi, el tratamieto con las fosfinas voluminosas pcy3 y pipr3 forma los intermedios [ru (n5-c9 h7)c1(pr3)] qye reaccionan con co para formar los derivados [ru(n5-c9 h7)c1(co)(pr3)]. Sustitucion de cod por fosfinas hemilabiles forma los complejos [ru(n5-c9-h7){k1-(p)-ph2pch2c(o)tbu}{k2-(p,o)-ph2pch=cotbu}], [ru(n5-c9 h7)c1{k1-(p)-pph2(c3h5)}2] o [ru(n5-c9h7)c1{k2-(p,n)-2-ph2p(c6h4) c(h)=n(r)]. Los procesos con iminas quirales son diastereoselectivos. los complejos con alilfosfinas reaccionan: a) con napf6 para formar nuevos derivados quelato. B) con alquinos en medio basico para formar los alquinilos correspondiente que adicionan electrofilos para formar los derivados vinilideno. el complejo [ru(n5-c9h7){k3-(p,c,c)-phh2(c3h5)}(pph3)][pf6]: a) reacciona con nan3 o naome\/meoh abriendo el quelato. B) la reaccion con lir conduce a la formacion de [ru(n5-c9 h7) {k2-(p,c)-ph2pch2chrch2)}(pph3)} como resultado de un ataque nucleofilo diastereoselectivo al doble enlace. C) la reaccion con alquinos conduce a la formacion de [ru(n5-c9 h7) {k2-(p,c)-(=cchrch2 chch2 pph2 )} (pph3)][pf6] a traves del acoplamiento diastereoespecifico del doble enlace de la adpp con el ca-cb de un grupo vinilideno. Los complejos [ru(n5-c9 h7)c1(cod)] y [ru(n5-c9 h7)c1(pph3)2] son activos en la hidrataciion de alquinos terminales para producir selectivamente cetonas o aldehidos destacando la formacion por primera vez de a-hidroxialdehidos. La utilizacion de medios micelares mejora rendimientos y selectividades. El complejo [ru(n5-c9 h7)c1(cod)] cataliza: a)reacciones de acoplamiento [2+2] exo de norborneno y norbornadieno con alquinos. B) reacciones de acoplamiento [4+2] de 1,5-cod con alquinos.
