De las diez moleculas seleccionadas, a ocho de ellas se les realizaron ensayos de actividad hipoglucemiante oral con sobrecarga de glucosa, de las cuales tres dieron una marcada actividad. El producto de sintesis, acetato de 3-hidroxibutilo mostro actividad sobre los niveles normoglucemicos (descenso del 20% de la glucemia basal).  los compuestos 4-(3-metil-5-oxo-2-pirazolin- 1-il)benzoico y 1-(mesitilen-2-sulfonil)-1h-1,2,3-triazol presentaron actividad en relacion al farmaco de referencia (tolbutamida) en base a: conseguir una hiperglucemia maxima inferior en un 30% a la obtenida con la tolbutamida, reestablecer los niveles normales de glucemia en el mismo intervalo de tiempo que la tolbutamida, no provocar posterior hipoglucemia al no actuar sobre los niveles basales. Los valores de insulinemia obtenidos corroboran los ensayos de actividad hipoglucemiante al detectarse un aumento de la produccion de insulina analogo al conseguido con tolbutamida. Estos resultados confirman plenamente la validez del metodo topologico utilizado en la busqueda y seleccion de nuevas estructuras con actividad hipoglucemiante.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos
