Los objetivos alcanzados en el trabajo se pueden agrupar en los siguientes apartados:  1. Se ha llevado a cabo la sintesis de varios 8,12-sesquiterpenolidos y en concreto de los eudesmanolidos isoalloalantolactona, isoalantolactona, 8-epi-isoivangustina y 8-epi-ivangustina, asi como de varios elemanolidos. En esta parte del trabajo se ha desarrollado una estrategia sintetica que permite la transferencia de funcionalizacion desde c6 a c8.  2. Se han sintetizado 6,12-eudesmanolidos funcionalizados en c1 a partir de santonina. En concreto se ha llevado a cabo la sintesis de los compuestos torrentina, dihidrosantamarina y dihidrorreinosina.  3. Se han sintetizado 6,12-eudesmanolidos, funcionalizados en c9 a partir de artemisina a traves de una transferencia de funcionalidad de c8 a c9.
