Los resultados obtenidos en este estudio indicaron que la sobrealimentacion energetica-lipidica estimulo el crecimiento de los animales, asociado a un considerable aumento de las masas de tejido adiposo. La caracterizacion metabolica de estos animales indico la existencia de mecanismos ahorradores de nitrogeno, derivados de un menor catabolismo de aminoacidos y una mayor eficacia en la incorporacion de estos a las proteinas tisulares. Estos hechos fueron evidenciados por la mayor retencion de nitrogeno, la disminucion de la sintesis de urea, la inhibicion de la sintesis de glucosa, el desarrollo hiperplasico de los tejidos y el considerable incremento de la sintesis de proteinas mostrada por estos animales sobrealimentados. Resultados similares se obtuvieron en el estudio de la sintesis de proteinas en el modelo de obesidad experimental conocido como alimentacion con \u00abdieta de
