Los sistemas estudiados han sido polianiones en geles polimericos hidrofilicos utilizando eluyentes de fuerza ionica y ph variable. En estos sistemas, junto al mecanismo principal de separacion eiterica o por tama\u00f1os aparecen asociados mecanismos secundarios originados por interaccion especifica polion gel ya sea de tipo electrostatico o hidrofobico. En primer lugar se ha analizado cualitativamente la influencia sobre el mecanismo global de cuatro variables: fuerza ionica, ph, tipo de polielectrolito y tipo de gel cromatografico. En segundo lugar se han interpretado molecularmente los mecanismos secundarios mediante aplicacion de modelos teoricos cuantitativos. Para la repulsion electrostatica se han aplicado modelos recientes basados en la doble capa y se han aportado mejoras mediante la proposicion de nuevas ecuaciones.
