Rosario <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El trabajo describe el proceso de clonacion, secuenciacion y caracterizacion del gen rcs1, cuya secuencia de nucleotidos muestra alguna homolog\u00eda con genes implicados en el desarrollo del ciclo celular en levaduras. Para el estudio de la funcion fisiologica del producto del gen rcs1, se han construido diferentes cepas mutantes que poseen distintos alelos del gen con delecciones de longitudes crecientes, asi como cepa carente del mismo. Tambien se ha estudiado la dominancia de las mutaciones sobre cepas diploides heterozigoticas.  ademas, se han subclonado el alelo salvaje rcs1+ y el mutante rcs1- 1 :: ura3 en distintos plasmidos episomales, centromericos y portadores de un promotor inducible, para estudiar el efecto fenotipico de hiperexpresion de ambos.
