Su determinaci\u00f3n mediante difracci\u00f3n de neutrones basada en la observaci\u00f3n de distancias interplanares en materiales policristalinos ha dado lugar a la t\u00e9cnica nss (neutron strain scanning). Los principios de esta t\u00e9cnica est\u00e1n bien establecidos desde 1982, aunque los efectos instrumentales generados sobre los datos experimentales por la observaci\u00f3n de geometr\u00edas complejas en la muestra, la realizaci\u00f3n de barridos cerca de superficies o la utilizaci\u00f3n de distintas configuraciones instrumentales, no han sido todav\u00eda bien descritos en la literatura.  se ha creado un c\u00f3digo de simulaci\u00f3n monte carlo (nesssi) para la simulaci\u00f3n de un experimento de nss en un difract\u00f3metro de alta resoluci\u00f3n de una fuente cont\u00ednua de neutrones (reactor). Dicho c\u00f3digo est\u00e1 basado en el difract\u00f3metro de dos ejes rest (nfl; studsvik, suecia), y contiene modelos del colimador primario, monocromador, colimadores secundarios, rendijas, posicionadores, goni\u00f3metro, detector sensible a la posici\u00f3n, y tres geometr\u00edas de muestra (paralep\u00edpedo, doble cilindro finito y sector toroidal).  el c\u00f3digo ha sido validado mediante la simulaci\u00f3n de la divergencia del haz incidente, la resoluci\u00f3n instrumental y el desplazamiento de picos de difracci\u00f3n en barridos a trav\u00e9s de superficies, y su comparaci\u00f3n con resultados experimentales. Se ha medido experimentalmente la distribuci\u00f3n de longitudes de onda en el haz incidente como funci\u00f3n de la posici\u00f3n y direcci\u00f3n de los neutrones en el entorno de la posici\u00f3n de la muestra.  se han evaluado las tensiones residuales en un tubo bimet\u00e1lico curvado en fr\u00edo a 180\u00c2\u00ba, compuesto por un acero ferr\u00edtico (grado t11) interno y un acero
