Bryce echenique revela unas inquietudes comunes, una tematica comun en la configuracion de la historia y unos procedimientos similares en su disposicion en el discurso. La suya se conforma, por lo tanto, como una obra unitaria en la que se insertan tambien sus cuentos y cronicas. El caracter de los personajes y el ambiente que los rodea, la nostalgia y el recuerdo, la creacion de un mito y la desmitificacion, la critica y el humor, la subordinacion del orden temporal a las pretensiones del creador, la narracion compleja, variopinta en lo que se refiere a la procedencia de sus discursos, las referencias literarias y, en general, artisticas, y la diversidad de receptores que justifican la escritura, todo ello hace de las cinco novelas y del resto de la obra de a. Bryce echenique un espacio global conjunto, unitario, movido por un interes identico, que no es otro que mostrar la fragilidad del limite que separa los mundos de la realidad y los de la ficcion, ya
