Con ello se establecen las bases conceptuales que guian la investigacion empirica realizada.  una vez identificadas las fases que componen el proceso de f\/a, se explicitan las posibles estructuras de integracion, las actuaciones directivas disponibles para emprender el cambio cultural y la gestion de la ansiedad experimentada por los recursos humanos en los procesos de f\/a. Asimismo, se analiza el problema de la retenci\u00f3n de los empleados, haciendo especial hincapie en los determinantes de la rotacion y en sus consecuencias, asi como en la necesidad de arbitrar mecanismos para evitar marchas no deseadas y conseguir el compromiso del personal. En ultimo lugar, se tratan diversas actuaciones directivas de apoyo a los empleados despedidos.  el estudio empirico realizado se divide en dos partes claramente diferenciadas. en la primera se realiza un analisis de casos sobre cinco f\/as, mientras que en la segunda se contrastan estadisticamente dos modelos que relacionan la dimensiones del porceso, sus antecedentes y la transferencia de
