Sol <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La importancia medioambiental de los metales pesados zn, cd, pb y cu se debe a su caracter toxico y no biodegradable, por lo que se acumulan en los tejidos vivos. Dicha toxicidad no depende unicamente de la concentracion total de metal, sino de la forma o especie quimica bajo la cual se presenta. Las aguas fluviales juegan un importante papel en el transporte y transferencia de dichos metales, por lo que interesa conocer el comportamiento y especiacion de los mismos en el medio acuatico.  en este trabajo se han investigado las tendencias de especiacion de los cuatro metales pesados mencionados en aguas naturales procedentes de los rios pisuerga y carrion, pertenecientes a la cuenca hidrografica del duero, en orden a predecir su biodisponibilidad y toxicidad para los organismos acuaticos.
