Debido a la discrepancia existente en la literatura con respecto al mecanismo por el que transcurre la reaccion de desulfuracion a bajas temperaturas y las etapas controlantes del mismo, se ha planteado el estudio de la reaccion de so2 con ca (oh)2 como solido adsorbente a bajas temperaturas.  en un primer lugar se ha realizado un estudio de la conversion maxima que puede alcanzar el reactivo solido evaluandose la influencia tanto de la corriente gaseosa como del adsorbente.  posteriormente se ha identificado el producto de reaccion, estableciendo su nomenclatura y se ha propuesto un mecanismo de reaccion basado en la adsorcion del so2 junto con vapor de agua en la superficie del solido adsorbente.  una vez determinadas las etapas por las que transcurren el proceso de desulfuracion y el maximo grado de conversion capaz de alcanzar el adsorbente se realiza el analisi y modelado de la reaccion de eliminacion de so2 con ca(oh)2, discrimando entre los posibles modelos, desarrollados como consecuencia del mecanismo propuesto, obteniendose la expresion matematica que describe la velocidad de reaccion y evaluandose la influencia de las variables de reaccion en los parametros de modelo, comprobandose su validez llevando a cabo la reaccion con solidad de diferentes caracteristicas estructurales.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
