Se ha utilizado la teoria dielectrica clasica, dentro de la cual el medio con el que interacciona el electron incidente se caracteriza por una funcion dielectrica, en general dependiente del momento y la energia.  en primer lugar se han estudiado los efectos de dispersion en interfases planas, cuando el haz de electrones viaja muy proximo a las mismas, a distancias menores de 10 a.  se ha hecho un estudio de la perdida de energia experimentada por los electrones que viajan a lo largo de cavidades cilindricas, reproduciendo los resultados de eels obtenidos en stem cuando el haz de electrones perfora agujeros del orden de 10 nm en cierto tipo de materiales como alf3 y al2o3.  por fin, se ha estudiado la perdida de energia en particulas esfericas, del orden de 100 a de radio, explicando las correcciones introducidas en el espectro de perdidas por la presencia del soporte dentro del cual se encuentran parcialmente introducidas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
