Los parametros estudiados fueron:recuento de hematies y leucocitos, formula leucocitaria, hemoglobina, hematocrito, vcm, chcm,hcm, rdw, plaquetas, plaquetocrito, vpm, pdw, glucemia, uremia, colesterol, ac. Urico, creatinina, proteinas totales, albumina total, porcentajes de albumina, globumina, globulinas alfa 1, alfa 2, beta, gamma, cociente alb\/glob., Cloruros, sodio y potasio.  para analizar los cambios se clasificaron los pacientes en los grupos siguientes: 65 a 72 a\u00f1os, 73 a 80 a\u00f1os, 81 a 88 a\u00f1os y 89 a 95 a\u00f1os y en dos series de muestras:  pacientes ambulatorios y hospitalizados. La determinacion inicial correspondio a la primera visita y la segunda determinacion, a un tiempo posterior separado del primero entre tres y doce meses.  en la poblacion total estudiada (187 casos de muestras pareadas) se han encontrado descensos significativos en las variables: hematocrito, colesterol y albumina total.  y aumentos en la chcm. Se comprobaron disminuciones significativas, en el grupo de pacientes ambulatorios de edades comprendidas entre 73 y 80 a\u00f1os, del porcentaje de globulina beta.Aumentaron: chcm, y % de globulina gamma.Hubo disminuciones significativas de los valores absolutos de linfocitos entre el total de pacientes ambulatorios de la primera y segunda serie de muestras.  los pacientes hospitalizados no mostraron cambios significativos de ningun parametro a lo largo del tiempo salvo los cloruros que descendieron en el limite de la significacion estadistica. La no variacion de los parametros con significacion nutricional a lo largo del tiempo de los pacientes hospitalizados frente a los cambios observados en pacientes ambulatorios
