En todas las edades, la mayor concentracion de las neuronas callosas marcadas se ven en el limite del area estriada occipital (e\/o) y en el area periferica, reduciendose a este limite (e\/o) en el adulto.  la distribucion tangencial disminuye a partir del dia p8. Las neuronas marcadas en las capas supragranulares aumentan en la 1a semana y disminuyen a partir del dia 8, pero siempre hay muy pocas, o ninguna, en la zona caudomedial y caudolateral del area estriada; las neuronas marcadas situadas en las capas infragranulares aparecen mas tardiamente (a partir del dia 8) y no desaparecen completamente de la region rostromedial y rostrolateral del area estriada.
