Estos mecanismos son poco tratados dentro del tema de levas, en especial aquellos que son planos. asi, el objeto de estudio de la presente tesis lo constituyen los mecanismos leva-palpador desmodromicos planos. La investigacion tiene por objetivos: aportar elementos teoricos y proponer metodos de generacion de perfiles de levas desmodromicas planas, de modo que se facilite el estudio y la aplicaci\u00f3n de dichos mecanismos. El estudio se ha centrado en los mecanismos de levas conjugadas y de anchura y diametro constante. La investigacion de los mecanismos mencionados abarca las etapas de definicion de la ley de desplazamiento del palpador y de generacion del perfil de la leva. Dentro de la primera etapa citada, se han obtenido las caracteristicas que tienen las leyes de desplazamiento del palpador para poder generar perfiles de anchura y diametro constante, y en el caso de palpadores rotatorios se expone como dise\u00f1ar dichas leyes. En esta etapa se han utilizado curvas de bezier no parametricas y b-spline no parametrico para la definicion de las leyes de desplazamiento del palpador. En lo refrente a la obtencion del perfil de la leva, se propone un metodo analitico-vectorial que permite obtener perfiles de levas conjugadas y de anchura y diametro constane como caso particular de las conjugadas, estableciendo ciertas restricciones de dise\u00f1o. El metodo es conciso y comprensible. En el trabajo se ha utilizado como herramienta basica de simulacion el software mathematica, para dise\u00f1ar las leyes de desplazamiento y generar los perfiles de levas.
