Se demuestra una paridad menor (p=0.007) y un numero significativamente mayor de mortinatos (p=0.039) en las madres del grupo experimental que no recibieron suplementos de aminoacidos. Se objetiva microcefalia en el conjunto de crias de ratas hiperfenilalaninemicas (suplementadas o no), a los 35 (p=0.003) y a los 65 dias de vida (p=0.011 en machos y p=0.002 en hembras): asi mismo las ratas hijas de los grupos experimentales sometidas a test de conducta (laberinto de agua en t); cometen significativamente mas errores (p=0.031) y tardan mas tiempo en resolverlo (p=0.059) que las ratas controles. Ultraestructuralmente en snc se aprecian signos de inmadurez de las estructuras sinaptosomales y mielimzacion alterada en las crias de madres hiperfemilalaninemicas. Tanto en recien nacidos como en adultas. Los suplementos de valina, leucina e insoleucina. Administrados a ratas hiperfenilalaninemicas durante el embarazo mejoran la paridad y disminuyen el numero de martinatos, pero no logran evitar la microcefalia ni las lesiones en snc, ni tampoco
