Se han colocado 16 parcelas de 50 x 50 m en un gradiente altitudinal entre los 100 y los 600 m. En ellas se han inventariado los \u00e1rboles con di\u00e1metro a la altura del pecho (dap) mayor de 10 cm, determin\u00e1ndose 422 taxa. Se presentan el espectro biol\u00f3gico y corol\u00f3gico de la flora. se han determinado 6 especies end\u00e9micas y 4 nuevas citas para la flora de guatemala. Adem\u00e1s se han localizado nuevas poblaciones de especies raras como podocarpus guatemalensis y rondeletina brandegeeana y probablemente se ha descubierto una nueva especie. El an\u00e1lisis de la vegetaci\u00f3n se ha realizado mediante m\u00e9todos de ordenaci\u00f3n (dca y nmds) y clasificaci\u00f3n (twinspan). los resultados de los an\u00e1lisis muestran la diferencia entre ambas cuencas: la cuenca juan de paz est\u00e1 formada principalmente por bosques de pinues caribaea y bosques de vitex gaumeri-blepharidium guatemalense, mientras que en la cuenca de las ca\u00f1as podemos distinguir los bosques de vista hermosa (cf. Desmopsis schippi- dialium guianense &#8211; cordia sp.), Los bosques de la parte media del r\u00edo (macrolobium cf.Herrerae &#8211; dialium guianense &#8211; cupania cf.Scrobiculata), y los bosques de cerro tembladero (macrolobium cf.Herreare &#8211; dialium guianense &#8211; matudaea trinervia). Adem\u00e1s, se analizan las causas de la variaci\u00f3n flor\u00edstica en las cuencas. Finalmente, se describen por primera vez en mesoamerica bosques dominados por macrolobium cf.Herrerae, bosques dominados por macrolobium cf.Herrerae y matudaea tinervia y bosques dominados por
