Los dos diluyentes empleados en el semen fresco (ssf y stranzinger) muestran un comportamiento similar. Sin embargo, los diluyentes de refrigeracion (stranzinger+20% yema de huevo y stranzinger+20% yema de huevo+4,5% dmso) mostraron diferencias significativas de las caracteristicas de la calidad seminal, pero no de fertilidad.  en la congelacion del semen con dmso se observo que al aumentar la concentracion de este crioprotector, mejoraba la motilidad, a la vez que disminuia la proporcion de acrosomas normales. La combinacion de dmso (4,5%) y glicerol (1%) ofrecio mejores resultados globales en la valoracion microscopica. Los mejores resultados de motilidad y de acrosomas se observaron cuando el diluyente contenia acetamida. En i.A.
