En concreto, se han realizado una serie de estudios con el objeto de valorar las alteraciones morfologicas y funcionales inducidas por la implantacion de los electrodos. En segundo lugar se ha puesto a punto el sistema de amplificacion, filtrado y digitalizacion de la se\u00f1al electromiografica.  se han incluido una serie de programas que permiten el analisis temporal, espectral e incluso la integracion del registro. Estos analisis han permitido caracterizar el ciclo de base gastro-duodenal de las aves y estudiar las denominadas actividades gastro-independientes. Estas ultimas han sido estudiadas mediante la utilizacion de opioides como inductores de dicha actividad.  finalmente se ha estudiado la actividad electrica de control durante el ciclo de base y tras
