El papel del fibrinogeno como factor de riesgo esta en debate y su funci\u00f3n en el interior de la pared arterial como elemento pat\u00f3geno no esta bien definida. Por otra parte el papel de las metaloproteasas en todo el proceso de migraci\u00f3n y remodelaci\u00f3n celular, que experimenta la pared arterial en la evoluci\u00f3n del proceso arterioscler\u00f3tico, es imprescindible.  el sistema de las plasmina tambi\u00e9n esta implicada en la regulaci\u00f3n de la matriz extracelular y puede participar en la evoluci\u00f3n del ateroma. la influencia de todos estos procesos en el interior de la pared arterial pueden ser la causa o la consecuencia de las concentraciones plasm\u00e1ticas de estos factores hemost\u00e1ticos en plasma.  hip\u00f3tesis  la plasmina y las metaloproteasas est\u00e1n implicadas en la regulaci\u00f3n de la matriz extracelular en los procesos fisiol\u00f3gicos de remodelaci\u00f3n vascular y su disfunci\u00f3n participar\u00eda en el desarrollo y ruptura del ateroma. est\u00e1 en debate si las metaloproteasas son activadas y\/o estimuladas por el sistema fibrinol\u00edtico. En esta posible situaci\u00f3n de dependencia, la penetraci\u00f3n del fibrin\u00f3geno en pared podr\u00eda ser la causa desencadenante de una activaci\u00f3n del sistema fibrinol\u00edtico con incremento de la capacidad generadora de plasmina y consecuentemente de la activaci\u00f3n y\/o estimulaci\u00f3n del sistema de las metaloproteasas.  objetivos  1,- estudiar la influencia del fibrin\u00f3geno en el funcionalismo enzim\u00e1tico de la pared arterial.  2,- comprobar si la capacidad generadora de plasmina de la pared arterial regula la activaci\u00f3n de las mmps.  3,- determinar si hay diferencias funcionales de estos sistemas enzim\u00e1ticos en el desarrollo de la lesi\u00f3n arterioscler\u00f3tica en car\u00f3tida, aorta y femoral y la existencia de posibles
