Tomando como referencia la unidad dise\u00f1ada, se han preparado una familia de macrociclos, que incorporada en una membrana liquida de pvc, permiten la determinacion de los iones ag(i). Todos los ligandos conservan la unidad basica, dos grupos tioeteres en posicion meta. Los macrociclos difieren entre si en la naturaleza de uno de sus eslabones. Pueden considerarse derivados de la fusion de dos fragmentos: 1,5-bis(tiometil)benceno y 3x-pentano (x= o,s,c y n-ts), describiendose en el texto como ligando mao, mas, mac y mant respectivamente.  a fin de conocer la influencia de la naturaleza macrociclica en el reconocimiento selectivo, se han estudiado los ligandos lie y lip que poseen la unidad estructural dise\u00f1ada, incorporada en una estructura abierta.  se ha realizado un estudio previo para obtener la composicion optima de la membrana liquida, obteniendose que el mejor comportamiento correspondia a la siguiente composicion: ligando (7%), dop (31%) y pvc (62%).  el comportamiento de los ligandos como sensores quimicos se ha evaluado mediante el estudio de las caracteristicas de respuesta de los electrodos construidos. Para ello se han determinado los siguientes parametros: la pendiente de las curvas de calibracion (s), el limite inferior de respuesta lineal (lirl) y limite practico de deteccion (lpd), el rango de
