Mar <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>El trabajo presenta un nuevo abordaje al estudio de la funcion centromerica en drosophila melanogaster. Se ha aislado un nuevo tipo de dna satelite centromerico que presenta cualidades que apuntan hacia su posible funcion en el comportamiento cromosomico. Sus caracteristicas estructurales, su extrema proximidad a la construccion primaria por criterios citogeneticos de alta resolucion y su comportamiento en anafase se\u00f1alan a una relacion con la funcion centromerica. La localizacion entre cromatidas en c-metafase puede delimitar dicha funcion a un papel importante en el apareamiento de cromatidas.
