Pilar <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>En este trabajo se han estudiado los efectos de la amilina, peptido de 37 aminoacidos localizado en el interior del granulo secretor de insulina en la celula b, sobre la secrecion del pancreas endocrino.Las conclusiones son: la amilina inhibe la secrecion de insulina en respuesta a glucosa de manera dosis-dependiente; la menor concentracion de amilina capaz de inhibir la secrecion de insulina (75 pm) esta en el rango de los niveles de amilina encontrados tanto en el efluyente del pancreas de la rata como en plasma periferico. La infusion previa del pancreas con amilina no modifica su capacidad secretora, luego puede excluirse que la accion de la amilina sobre la secrecion de insulina se deba a un efecto toxico sobre la celula b. La accion de la amilina es directa sobre la celula b, y no paracrina (modificando la actividad secretora de las celulas a o d, glucagon y somatostatina, respectivamente). La amilina es cosegregada con la insulina tanto en condiciones basales como en respuesta a secretagogos del pancreas endocrino.
