El material electrodepositado se ha caracterizado determiando su composicion, estructura, propiedades electricas, opticas y fotoelectroquimicas, relacionando estas caracteristicas con los parametros de preparacion y a la vez estudiando el efecto de distitntos tratamientos termicos y quimicos de las muestras. Los resultados obtenidos indican que son necesarios ciertos tratamientos para optimizar las lamnas electrodepositadas para aplicaciones fotovoltaicas:  primero, un recocido en atmosfera inerte a temperaturas superiores a 400 c. Para obtener una recristalizacion del cuinse2 en la estructura calcopirita, y despues un ataque quimico en una disolucion de kcn para eliminar fases secundarias de cuxse y se que se suelen depositar junto al cuinse2.
