Los carboniones generados con lda a -78 c reaccionan de forma regioelectiva con aldehidos para dar lugar al correspondiente derivado sustituido en posicion 5-o 3-, segun que la reaccion se lleve a cabo a -78 c o a 20 c las reacciones a -78 c presentan una alta diastereolectividad este hecho nos ha llevado a realizar ensayos de desprotecion utilizando bases quriales, con el fin de sintetizar lactonas opticamente activas.  finalmente se han llevado a cabo una serie de transformaciones sobre los productos obtenidos en las reacciones con electropilos, encaminadas a la preparacion de lactonas
