El mismo, aporta una clara ventaja frente a procedimientos clasicos, en los que es necesario calcular un gran numero de histogramas condicionados para caracterizar mediante colorimetria cada region presente en la escena. Dicho algoritmo tiene como ventaja fundamental su bajo tiempo de computo.  gracias a que solo es necesario efectuar el reconocimiento de los tres histogramas del sistema de color en el que se trabaje.  el analisis de conectividad, necesario para determinar a partir de una imagen segmentada multinivel las diferentes regiones presentes en la escena, se ha resuelto proponiendo un nuevo metodo, que
