Esta ecuacion se deriva de la mas general ecuacion de la dispersion en tres dimensiones que tiene en cuenta los mecanismos de transporte, difusion molecular, conveccion y dispersion mecanica.  ademas de esto a\u00f1ade los terminos que consideran el factor de retardo del nucleido y la constante de desintegracion radiactiva.  la ecuacion de la migracion se resuelve mediante un modelo de elementos finitos y la formula recurrente de crank &#8211; nickolson.  implementando este metodo se ha desarrollado un programa en fortran 77 que se ha denominado mr1d (migracion de radionucleidos en una dimension).  se ha desarrollado tambien otro programa complementario, designado por dib, para representacion grafica de los resultados.  el resultado del programa de calculo es comparado con la solucion analitica que solo existe para un medio infinito y una condicion inicial consistente en un impulso instantaneo de amplitud infinita en el instante cero.  se ha realizado un estudio de sensibilidad con objeto de evaluar la solucion, considerando la variacion de la velocidad de darcy del flujo de agua, coeficiente de dispersion longitudinal, factor de retardo y constante de
