Este autor constituye una de las figuras claves, y hasta el momento no estudiadas, del arte multimedia desarrollado en el estado espa\u00f1ol a partir de los a\u00f1os 60. De formacion musical su actividad en este campo lo convierte en un pionero de la musica serial, concreta, electroacustica y de accion. En 1964, tras haber conocido en milan a john cage y a walter marchetti, funda con este ultimo en Madrid el grupo de zaj. Las actividades de zaj (conciertos, libros, performances&#8230;) constituiran a juicio del artista fluxus dick higgins el suceso artistico mas importante acaecido en espa\u00f1a tras la guerra civil (1936-39). Esta opinion contrastara con el aislamiento e incomprension que juan hidalgo y zaj sufriran en su propio pais. Tratar de subsanar este hecho y analizar la poetica de su interdisciplinar produccion ha determinado la presente investigacion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
