mataderos son un foco importante de contaminacion microbiologica para los cauces de agua.  esto sucede aunque sean previamente sometidas a tratamientos depuradores, como fangos activados o filtros biologicos, ya que unicamente disminuira de forma significativa y uniforme en todos los casos la materia organica, que expresamos como db05.  la reduccion de los diferentes microorganismos contenidos en las aguas brutas es peque\u00f1a e inconstante por lo que el efluente depurado esta tan contaminado como antes del tratamiento, sobre todo en cuanto a patogenos bacterianos intestinales.  la busqueda de microorganismos indicadores en este tipo de aguas, por medio de la investigacion de correlaciones lineales y \u00abvalores-indice\u00bb que se establezcan como estadisticamente significativos, pone de manifiesto que no existe un unico microorganismo indicador.  es la existencia de factores condicionantes, como competencias interespecificas y desigual accion de los tratamientos estudiados lo que no permite establecer uno en solitario, sino que en funcion de las cargas contaminantes iniciales y del sistema depurador, para el caso de los efluentes depurados,
