Davis Rocio <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La cuestion central que plantea este trabajo es la definicion del \u00abteatro poetico\u00bb y sus manifestaciones en espa\u00f1a en el siglo xx. En primer lugar, trata de buscar una definicion rigurosa de esta expresion a traves de una elaboracion teorica de los aspectos principales de este genero dramatico. El trabajo es mas inductivo que deductivo, partiendo de las propias obras dramaticas pertenecientes al genero, asi como de las declaraciones de sus autores y las aportaciones de la critica. De capital importancia en la definicion es el papel del lenguaje (el uso del verso y de la prosa) y la presencia del mito y del simbolo. Despues de exponer la teoria, se analizan obras de diversos autores tradicionalmente asociados con el teatro poetico: marquina, vilaespesa y los machado, para juzgar nuevamente si sus obras merecen esta calificacion.
