El defecto se relleno con autoinjertos y aloinjertos frescos y congelados que se estabilizaron con 2 agujas de kirschner intramedulares.  el proceso de consolidacion fue estudiado en vivo mediante radiografias seriadas. Los animales fueron sacrificados a los 2, 4 y 8 meses realizandose estudios de densitometria, vascularizacion e histolog\u00eda. Ademas, en 24 conejos se inyecto una dosis de 25 mg\/kg de oxitetraciclina 6 y 3 dias antes de su muerte para evaluar la distribucion del hueso neoformado y la velocidad de aposicion osea (vao) en ambos extremos del injerto.  se obtuvo una buena o excelente consolidacion en un 80,5% de los injertos oseos (94% en autoinjertos y 66% en aloinjertos). La densidad mineral osea presento una disminucion por debajo del valor de referencia a los 4 meses, debido a la reabsorcion en todos los injertos, excepto en el aloinjerto fresco. La revascularizacion de los aloinjertos fue mas retardada y menos completa, aunque siguiendo el mismo patron de revascularizacion. En la histolog\u00eda, se observo una menor formacion de hueso nuevo en los aloinjertos, siendo mas notoria en los frescos. La distribucion de las bandas fluorescentes de tetraciclina ocurrio primariamente en los puntos de union, para luego extenderse hacia las superficies periosticas y endosticas del injerto. Encontramos una disminucion de la vao a traves del tiempo de evolucion como en el sitio de union distal con respecto al proximal, sin encontrar diferencias significativas entre los diferentes tipos de
