Se han empleado 42 ratas de la raza wistar cuyo peso oscilo entre 250 y 300 gr. La tecnica utilizada ha sido la del transporte de la peroxidasa del raiz de rabano (hrp). Hemos dividido las ratas en dos grupos:  experimento a, con inyecciones en talamo, dividido en 3 subgrupos: a1 inyecciones en paraventricular rostral, a2 inyecciones en paraventricular caudal y a3 grupo control.  experimento b, con inyecciones en algunos de los centros nerviosos marcados en el experimento a: b1 inyecciones en cortex piriforme y entorrinal, b2 en hipotalamo b3 en hipocampo y b4 en amigdala. Tras el estudio microscopico deducimos la presencia de la siguientes conexiones: el nucleo paraventricular talamico recibe proyecciones del nucleo del tracto solitario, formacion reticular ventrolateral, nucleo parabraquial, locus coeruleus, nucleos del rafe, sustancia gris periacueductal ventrolateral, hipotalamo (nucleos anterior, ventromedial, lateral, paraventricular y arcuatus) nucleo central amigdalino, nucleo reticular talamico y cortex (entorrinal, insular y cingular). Por otro lado envia conexiones a sustancia gris periacueductal, hipotalamo, nucleo central amigdalino, nucleo reticular talamico accumbens, cauputamen y cortex (entorrinal, insular y
