A fin de estudiar los mecanismos a nivel de membrana plasmatica asociados con la adquision de resistencia, se han empleado dos estrategias experimentales: i) aislamiento y caracterizacion molecular y funcional de lineas celulares modelo, y ii) estudio de los posibles cambios moleculares implicados en la adquisicion de resistencia.  la caracterizacion de las lineas celulares modelo sugiere poderosamente que la accion de agentes antineoplasicos como la antraciclina daunomicina, y de reversores de resistencia como verapamil, pueda tener lugar a nivel de membrana plasmatica.
