Se han realizado experimentos de pirolisis de rsu estudiando la perdida de peso del solido con la temperatura cuando la velocidad de calefaccion es lenta en equipos tg y se aplico un modelo cinetico para la determinacion de las constantes cineticas de reaccion. Se ha realizado un estudio sobre reacciones de pirolisis flash de rsu en un equipo pyroprobe 1000, (donde tienen lugar, principalmente, las reacciones de descomposicion primarias), variando la temperatura (500-900 c) y tiempos de pirolsis, y en un reactor de lecho fluidizado (donde tienen lugar tanto las reacciones primarias como las secundarias del proceso de descomposicion), modificando la temperatura (700-850 c) y tiempo de residencia de los volatiles en el reactor. Se han identificado en ambos casos, hidrocarburos y oxidos de carbono por cromatografia de gases y se han desarrollado diversos modelos cineticos del proceso de descomposicion para ambos
