En la primera parte se hace un estudio sobre los distintos factores que afectan a la impregnacion de las resinas y la caracterizacion tanto fisica como quimica de las mismas, determinando constantes de distribucion, contenido en agua y agregacion del extractante en las mismas. Posteriormente se estudio la extraccion de cu(ii), zn(ii) y cd(ii) mediante resinas impregnadas con acidos organofosforados y se comparan los resultados con los obtenidos en extraccion liquido-liquido y resinas levextrel dedicando especial atencion a los aspectos de separacion de metales. Se estudio tambien el efecto sinergico producido cuando se a\u00f1aden extractante organofosforados neutros y se comparan el comportamiento con la extraccion en la que se utiliza reactivos bifuncionales. Una vez conocidos las condiciones termodinamicas se realiza un estudio cinetico en el que se identifica el mecanismo de la reaccion asi como la etapa determinante de la velocidad y los parametros cineticos.
