Adspersus p. Serratus, p. Xiphias y p. Elegans. P. Adspersus presenta la maxima densidad de poblacion en primavera y verano, coincidiendo con la epoca de reproduccion. P. Serratus es abundante solo durante el mes de oto\u00f1o. P. Xiphias abunda todo el a\u00f1o en las zonas de salinidad marina, su longevidad se ha estimado en unos 17 meses, mostrando un elevado ritmo de crecimiento. La epoca de reproduccion de p. Xiphias coincide con los meses de primavera y verano, realizando durante este periodo varias puestas. Todas las especies son preferentemente carnivoras; existe un elevado solapamiento trofico excepto las tallas extremas. Todas las especies muestran actividad nocturna (ritmo endogeno). Se ha estudiado el desarrollo larvario de palaemonetes zariquieyi; el desarrollo es de tipo abreviado (tres zoeas). La especie p.Xiphias es menos eurihalina que p. Adspersus (tanto los adultos como las larvas). El efecto competitivo de p. Serratus sobre p.  xiphias y p. Adspersus es escaso en la bahia. El solapamiento temporal y trofico entre p.
