En la introduccion se hace un estudio de la vida y obra del humanista fernando de arce, para pasar a continuacion a estudiar las caracteristicas esenciales de la paremiolog\u00eda renacentista hispana (influencia de erasmo de rotterdam, colecciones en legua hispana; el adagio en la formacion del humanista, fuentes clasicas de la paremiolog\u00eda), asi como las fuentes castellanas y latinas de los refranes y glosas de arce.                             A la fabula dedicamos otro garn bloque: ediciones renacentistas, la fabula y su relacion con el adagio y, finalmente, un estudio detallado de las seis fabulas de arce: tematica, fuentes y estructura.  en la edicion critica del texto hemos dise\u00f1ado un aparato de fuentes y la traduccion esta acompa\u00f1ada de numerosas notas explicativas.
