Se estandarizo la tecnica de la bromo- desoxiuridina para la deteccion de intercambios, se comprobo la eficacia del test con el testaje de dos mutagenos conocidos, ciclofosfamida y metilmetanosulfonato y finalmente se realizaron ensayos con tres pesticidas agricolas: diazinon, metilparation y carbofurano. Se asentaron las bases del test del micronucleo en la especie de eleccion y se ensayaron la tincion del citofancromo y una tecnica alternativa empleando citokalasina. La especie de eleccion mostro una alta sensibilidad al da\u00f1o genetico y el analisis de micronucleos e intercambios entre cromatica en dicha especie parece ser un sistema util y sensible para la evaluacion y deteccion de agentes quimicos contaminantes, presentes en el medio acuatico, y de naturaleza mutagenica y\/o carcinogenica.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis
