Verticilata, s. Faberi, s.  viridis y s. Glauca. Dichas poblaciones procedian de campos de maiz de la provincia de cordoba que habian sido tratados desde 1980-83 con atrazina (poblaciones ta) y ya no resultaban controlados por este herbicida. Como controles se utilizaron biotipos silvestres que procedian de campos que no habian sido tratados con triazinas (poblaciones nta). Los parametros estudiados han sido: a) efecto del herbicida sobre el crecimiento de la planta; b) efecto del herbicida sobre la actividad fotosintetica; c) capacidad de basorcion y translocacion del herbicida por parte de la planta (ensayos con 14 c-atrazina); d) estudios de metabolizacion de atrazina (ensayos con 14c-atrazina) y actividad glutation transferasa. Los resultados obtenidos permiten establecerla existencia de dos mecanismos de tolerancia\/resistencia a atrazina: a) insensibilidad del sitio de accion y b) metabolizacion del herbicida.
