Se realizo utilizando distintas modalidades de polarografia:  convencional, de impulsos diferencial, de impulsos normal inversa. Despues de constatar que el comportamiento electroquimico de ambas sustancias es mas complejo que el descrito en la bibliografia, y a pesar de que, en el caso del disulfuro de tiamina, esta complejidad dificulta el analisis de los resultados obtenidos, sobre la base de estos ultimos fue factible establecer basicamente el mecanismo de los procesos electrodicos estudiados. Para la consecucion de este objetivo se tuvieron presentes las conclusiones obtenidas en los estudios sobre la electro-reduccion de otros compuestos con grupo
