El estudio parte de la edad media, trazando un recorrido a traves de la ilustracion de manuscritos y los mecanismos de influencia entre letra e imagen, pasando por la expresion fantastica en grutescos, alquimia y emblemas, para resaltar, ya en la edad contemporanea, el concepto de \u00ablo sublime\u00bb como interiorizacion del monstruo.
