El campo de investigaci\u00f3n en el que se enmarca es interdisciplinar. Las ciencias f\u00edsicas, la inform\u00e1tica, la ingenier\u00eda, la radio, la bioqu\u00edmica, etc, se complementan e interaccionan con un \u00fanico objetivo: su aplicaci\u00f3n en medicina.  uno de los prop\u00f3sitos principales de la tesis ha sido el desarrollo de t\u00e9cnicas para el procesado de datos previo a la reconstrucci\u00f3n de la imagen, tanto para madpet, un esc\u00e1ner tep de alta resoluci\u00f3n para tomografiar ratas y ratones, como para madpet 2, un nuevo prototipo elegido con dos capas radiales de detectores. Mediante m\u00e9todos de normalizaci\u00f3n se han compensado las irregularidades presentes en las eficiencias de los detectores y en el muestreo. Se ha comparado madpet 2 con otros posibles dise\u00f1os y se ha evaluado el funcionamiento mediante simulaciones.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Datos acad\u00e9micos de la tesis doctoral
