La finalidad de los tratamientos superficiales radica en la adecuaci\u00f3n de las superficies de los sustratos para hacerlas compatibles con el adhesivo. Por tanto en el presente trabajo, se propone el tratamiento superficial mediante plasma de baja presi\u00f3n como una alternativa viable a los actuales tratamientos superficiales, para mejorar la adhesi\u00f3n de copol\u00edmeros eva usados en la industria del calzado frente a diferentes formulaciones de adhesivos.  la efectividad del tratamiento con plasma de baja presi\u00f3n de los copol\u00edmeros eva depende de diferentes variables experimentales tales como el gas utilizado para generar el plasma, el tiempo de tratamiento, la potencia de la radiaci\u00f3n, la naturaleza del adhesivo seleccionado para realizar la uni\u00f3n adhesiva y el contenido en acetato de vinilo del copol\u00edmero eva. Mediante la acertada elecci\u00f3n de las distintas variables experimentales, es posible con plasma un tratamiento prometedor para mejorar la adhesi\u00f3n de estos materiales de naturaleza apolar y baja energ\u00eda superficial.  la realizaci\u00f3n de un tratamiento superficial de los copol\u00edmeros eva con plasma de cualquiera de los gases usados en este estudio (ar, n2, aire, 4n2+6o2, o2, co2) produce un notable incremento en la proporci\u00f3n de ox\u00edgeno en la superficie, el cual es debido a la funcionalizaci\u00f3n superficial debida a especies oxigenadas (c-o, c-n, c=o y\/o (c=o)-o).
