La variabilidad detectada a nivel citogenetico no se considero en las estimas de variabilidad intra e interpoblacional. Estas estimas obtenidas con los caracteres moleculares y bioquimicos fueron menores de lo esperado para poblaciones naturales, si bien se encuentran dentro de lo observado en otras especies de agua dulcel los resultados obtenidas con los caracteres moleculares y bioquimicos fueron menores de lo esperado para poblaciones naturales, si bien se encuentran dentro de lo observado en otros especies de agua dulce.
