La protonacion selectiva de estos complejos alquinilo permite la preparacion de complejos vinilideno, los cuales han sido utilizados como precursores en la sintesis de los alquinos terminales {hc=cc(r) phch2}(ome)c=w(co)5 y hc=cc(c9h16)(un) a traves de procesos de desmetalacion en presencia de acetonitrilo. Los complejos ceto-alquinilo [ru{c=cc(c9h16)(ch2 cor)}(n5-c9h7)(pph3)2] experimentan ciclaciones intramoleculares produciendo los derivados oxacicloalquenilo [ru{c=chc(c9h16) ch=c(r) o\u00ed\u00a7 (n5-c9h7)(pph3)2] cuya protonacion origina especies carbeno. La reaccion de las especies aleilideno [ru(=c=c=cph2)(n5-c9h7)(pr3)l][ax] y [ru(=c=c=c(c9h16)(n5-c9 h7)(pph3)2][pf6] con azidas origina los complejos nitrilo [ru(n=chc=cph2)(n5-c9h7)(pr3)l][axn]y el alquinilo [ru{c=cc(c9h16)(n3)}(n5-c9h7)(pph3)2] respectivamente. Los complejos alenilideno [ru(=c=c=crr\u00c2\u00bf)(n5-c9c7)pph3)2][pf6] reaccionan con inaminas dando lugar a complejos amino-alquenilalenilideno [ru{=c=c=c(net2)[c(r\u00bb\u00bb)=crr\u00c2\u00bf]} (n5-c9h7)(pph3)2][pf6]. La reaccion de estas especies con nucleofilos anionicos conduce, con buenos rendimientos, a sistemas anenilideno, alquinilo y butadieninilo altamente funcionalizados. los nuesvos derivados alenilideno funcionalizados son buenos substratos en reaccioines de insercion regioselectivas de inaminas originando especies altamente insaturadas tales como [ru{=c=c=c(net2)[c(r)=chc(me)=cph2]}(n5-c9h7)
