Pilar <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>La calcificacion de las protesis valvulares cardiacas, construidas con tejido de pericardio bovino y preservadas con glutaraldehido es responsable del 60% de los fallos protesicos. Hasta ahora, la forma de determinar la efectividad de los tratamientos quimicos se ha realizado mediante implantaciones subcutaneas (con el inconveniente que no incorpora el factor estres) o en modelos circulatorios (quirurgicamente muy complicados y costosos). En este trabajo se propone un nuevo modelo para el ensayo de tratamientos quimicos anticalcificantes: la combinacion del modelo subcutaneo y del modelo in vitro para el estudio del estres, obteniendose resultados mas exactos y determinando el tratamiento quimico optimo para implantes circulatorios.  este trabajo tambien incluye un estudio comparativo sobre la eficacia de estos tratamientos anticalcificantes (aluminio, aminopropanodifosfonato y cloroformo\/metanol) y se estudia el posible papel del magnesio, hierro y lantano como inhibidores de la calcificacion, en el modelo de implantacion subcutanea en tiempos de implantacion de 21,30,60 y 90 dias.
