Pilar <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Los receptores para factores de crecimiento con actividad tirosina quinasa son blanco para el dise\u00f1o de quimioterapicos que inhiban la proliferacion celular.  este trabajo muestra un estudio de una serie de compuestos derivados del primer inhibidor de la actividad tirosina quinasa conocido, erbstatin. Los estudios \u00abin vitro\u00bb indican la potente capacidad inhibitoria que sobre la proliferacion celular inducida por pdgf ejercen estos compuestos. El estudio detallado de su mecanismo de accion revela que los compuestos son inhibidores selectivos de la autofosforilacion del receptor de pdgf presente en celulas musculares, no ejerciendo accion destacada sobre la autofosforilacion del receptor para egf. Esta especificidad por el receptor de pdgf hace que la inhibicion del mecanismo de transduccion de se\u00f1ales disparado por este factor de crecimiento sea mas efectiva que la del mecanismo activado por el egf.  los compuestos son capaces de distinguir entre ser-thr quinasas y tyr quinasas, ya que a las concentraciones que son muy efectivas en inhibir la proliferacion celular, la actividad ser\/thr quinasa de la proteina quinasa c permanece intacta.
