Para ello se emplea un inmunosupresor, la ciclosporina, droga ampliamente utilizada en pacientes sometidos a trasplante de organos, y la timoestimulina, fraccion timica empleada en pacientes con cancer osida, los resultados obtenidos indican que la ciclosponina previene el incremento de prolactina en los animales trasplantados pudiendo actuar a nivel del tejido ectopico, y sobre el eje hipotalamo-hipofisario, a traves de las modificaciones en prolactina. La timoetimulina no modifica los niveles de prolactina en los animales trasplantados, pero segun se observa en los animales controles. Se sugiere una accion sobre el eje hipotalamo-hipofisario, alterando los parametros neuroendocrinos implicados en el desarrollo puberal de la rata hembra.  asimismo, se sugiere que las modificaciones en los parametros inmunitarios podrian ser consecuencia, en parte, de las alteraciones neuroendocrinas observadas, principalmente de los niveles de prolactina y estradiol, por lo que el modelo
