Se intenta demostrar como el teatro clasico (particularmente el espa\u00f1ol) atraveso etapas bien diferenciadas en el proceso de su puesto en escena y contemplacion por parte del publico, de la ejemplificacion politica y patriotica de los a\u00f1os cuarenta a la ejemplaridad escenica de los cincuenta, de la crisis de los sesenta y setenta al nuevo auge consumista de los ochenta.
